Gold Strike Japanese Sedge is primarily valued in the garden for its cascading habit of growth. Its attractive grassy leaves emerge creamy white in spring, turning yellow in color with distinctive dark green edges and tinges of gold. The foliage often turns brown in fall.
It is an herbaceous evergreen perennial grass with a shapely form and gracefully arching stems. It brings an extremely fine and delicate texture to the garden composition and should be used to full effect. This is a relatively low maintenance plant, and is best cleaned up in early spring before it resumes active growth for the season.

A vigorous, mound forming evergreen plant with dramatic, narrow, green and white striped foliage that arches up and then weeps gracefully; feathery plumes rise in spring; makes quite a statement as a container planting or as an accent in the border

This sturdy selection forms a towering, strictly upright clump of striking steel blue foliage; golden seed heads in fall; perfect as a landscape accent, or along borders

Dramatic red-copper plumes are eye catching during the early to mid summer months; a cool weather performer that looks wonderful in fresh or dried flower arrangements, borders or garden landscapes; heat tolerant and low maintenance
