Kokedama is a bonsai technique that is popular in Japan.  The word means ‘moss ball”.  African violets lend themselves well for this technique.  All that is needed to create the moss ball will be provided, including an African violet.
This is also the practice of taking the root ball of a plant and suspending it in a mud/ soil ball, which is then coated in moss. This living planter is used as a decoration and can be suspended from the air by string, fixed to a piece of driftwood or placed on a saucer for display. Materials included will be soil, twine, moss and a 4″ African Violet.
Bring a friend for twice the fun!
