Stunning pure white flowers, much larger than others of the species – up to 12 inches across! Blooms appear in late spring to summer, often continuing into fall. Strong, straight stems hold the huge flower heads up well, despite heavy rain. This full, lush shrub needs plenty of room to show off its spectacular beauty. Deciduous.  Care – Thrives in enriched, well-drained soil with partial shade. Apply mulch to conserve soil moisture and protect in harsh winters. Water deeply, regularly during first growing season to establish extensive root system. Apply fertilizer in early spring. Blooms best on new wood; prune in spring, just before new growth emerges.  Pruning time: late winter to early spring.
