Stunner Weigela is covered in stunning clusters of pink trumpet-shaped flowers along the branches from late spring to mid summer. It has attractive grayish green-variegated plum purple foliage with hints of coppery-bronze. The pointy leaves are highly ornamental but do not develop any appreciable fall color.
It is a multi-stemmed deciduous shrub with a mounded form. Its relatively coarse texture can be used to stand it apart from other landscape plants with finer foliage. This shrub will require occasional maintenance and upkeep, and should only be pruned after flowering to avoid removing any of the current season’s flowers. It is a good choice for attracting hummingbirds to your yard.
