Casa Grande Tulip has masses of beautiful red cup-shaped flowers with black eyes and yellow anthers at the ends of the stems in early spring, which are most effective when planted in groupings. The flowers are excellent for cutting. Its attractive sword-like leaves remain bluish-green in color with distinctive deep purple spots throughout the season. The fruit is not ornamentally significant.
