Matcha Ball False Spirea has attractive green deciduous foliage which emerges coppery-bronze in spring on a plant with a round habit of growth. The small serrated pointy pinnately compound leaves are highly ornamental and turn outstanding shades of yellow and in the fall. The dark red stems are very effective and add winter interest.

Matcha Ball False Spirea is a multi-stemmed deciduous shrub with a more or less rounded form. Its average texture blends into the landscape, but can be balanced by one or two finer or coarser trees or shrubs for an effective composition. This shrub will require occasional maintenance and upkeep, and is best pruned in late winter once the threat of extreme cold has passed.
