Seven-Son Flower is primarily grown for its highly ornamental fruit. It features abundant showy pink capsules from mid to late fall. It has panicles of fragrant creamy white flowers at the ends of the branches from late summer to mid fall, which are interesting on close inspection. It has forest green foliage which emerges lime green in spring. The pointy leaves do not develop any appreciable fall color. The shaggy indian red bark is extremely showy and adds significant winter interest.
