Rock ‘N Round Bright Idea Sedum is covered in stunning clusters of yellow star-shaped flowers at the ends of the stems from early to mid summer, which emerge from distinctive gold flower buds. The flowers are excellent for cutting. Its attractive succulent narrow leaves remain dark green in color throughout the season. The dark red stems are very colorful and add to the overall interest of the plant.
It is a dense herbaceous perennial with a mounded form. Its medium texture blends into the garden, but can always be balanced by a couple of finer or coarser plants for an effective composition. This is a relatively low maintenance plant, and is best cleaned up in early spring before it resumes active growth for the season. It is a good choice for attracting bees and butterflies to your yard, but is not particularly attractive to deer who tend to leave it alone in favor of tastier treats.
