Playful Happy Trails Groundcover Rose sports a new coloration for the Happy Trails series, with darker red blooms accented by creamy white centers, backed by masses of small green leaves. Lightly scented clusters of blooms resembling old-fashioned roses emerge in late spring/early summer and continue through early fall, great for attracting butterflies and other pollinators.
Like most groundcover roses, Playful is easy to grow and very low maintenance, even cleaning itself of old blooms and pushing new ones; no deadheading needed. At only 10” tall but up to 48” wide, a great choice for filling in bare spots or along sunny front borders, or even for cascading down a retaining wall. Also lovely when planted en masse to create a blanket of color.
