Prayer Plants get their name from the fact that its leaves stay flat during the day and then fold up like praying hands at night. The Maranta is a common prayer plant- it has a low-growing habit and features vibrant green leaves with pinkish-burgundy veins and backsides!
These plants like low-moderate indirect sunlight, bright indirect light will scorch or burn the leaves. To avoid fungal problems do not let your prayer plant “sit” in water, make sure it has a good drainage system. This plant is not toxic to pets!
