Grape Hyacinth has masses of beautiful spikes of blue bell-shaped flowers rising above the foliage in mid spring, which are most effective when planted in groupings. Its grassy leaves remain green in color throughout the season. The fruit is not ornamentally significant.
These small fuzzy leaves offer fruity and mint tones that are great fresh, dried or frozen. Use this delicate herb in sorbets, rubs for poultry, lamb and seafood or even muddle the leaves to make a fresh drink or cocktail!
