This elegant peony is an early summer bloomer; the buds open to reveal vivid pink blooms that have a waxy lustre; stunning when massed in the garden or borders; the fragrant flowers open on stiff stems making them an excellent cut flower. This is a relatively low maintenance plant, and should be cut back in late fall in preparation for winter.
