Lydia Woadwaxen features showy yellow pea-like flowers along the branches from mid to late spring. It has light green deciduous foliage. The small oval leaves do not develop any appreciable fall color. The lime green stems can be quite attractive. It is an open multi-stemmed deciduous shrub with a ground-hugging habit of growth. It lends an extremely fine and delicate texture to the landscape composition which should be used to full effect. This is a relatively low maintenance shrub, and should only be pruned after flowering to avoid removing any of the current season’s flowers.
