This tropical herb is loaded with a strong citrus smell along with hints of mint and ginger. Lemongrass forms a tall, grassy clump that will reach 3-5 feet in height. This herb will thrive in full sun and humid conditions, keep your lemongrass moist and well drained. To overwinter this herb- dig up a few stalks, trim them down to make them 3-6 inches tall and plant in a small pot. Leave this pot in a South facing window and keep the soil barely moist. Enjoy lemongrass in infused teas, soups, pastes, sauces, salads and in many Asian dishes! Plant after last spring frost and enjoy all summer long! Deer will stay away from this plant but rabbits, however will like to chew on the crunchy stalks of lemongrass.
