Mint Julep Juniper Oriental Pompom is a dwarf conifer which is primarily valued in the landscape or garden for its ornamental upright and spreading habit of growth. It has lime green evergreen foliage. The scale-like sprays of foliage remain lime green throughout the winter. It produces powder blue berries from late spring to late winter.
Mint Julep Juniper Oriental Pompom is a multi-stemmed evergreen shrub with an upright spreading habit of growth. It lends an extremely fine and delicate texture to the landscape composition which can make it a great accent feature on this basis alone.
This is a high maintenance shrub that will require regular care and upkeep. When pruning is necessary, it is recommended to only trim back the new growth of the current season, other than to remove any dieback. Deer don’t particularly care for this plant and will usually leave it alone in favor of tastier treats.
