Shadowland Empress Wu Hosta features dainty spikes of violet tubular flowers rising above the foliage from early to mid summer. Its attractive enormous heart-shaped leaves remain dark green in color throughout the season.
Shadowland Empress Wu Hosta is a dense herbaceous perennial with a mounded form. Its medium texture blends into the garden, but can always be balanced by a couple of finer or coarser plants for an effective composition. This is a relatively low maintenance plant, and is best cleaned up in early spring before it resumes active growth for the season.

This variety forms a dense mound of hot pink flowers on well branched, strong stems, over lush dark green foliage that has an excellent resistance to powdery mildew; great for massing along borders
Matrona Stonecrop has masses of beautiful clusters of shell pink flowers at the ends of the stems from late summer to late fall, which are most effective when planted in groupings. The flowers are excellent for cutting. Its attractive large succulent round leaves remain dark green in color with distinctive purple veins throughout the season. The fruit is not ornamentally significant. The dark red stems are very colorful and add to the overall interest of the plant.
