Cool Splash Bush Honeysuckle is primarily valued in the landscape or garden for its cascading habit of growth. It features subtle panicles of yellow trumpet-shaped flowers along the branches in early summer. It has attractive white-variegated dark green foliage. The oval leaves are highly ornamental but do not develop any appreciable fall color.

It is a dense multi-stemmed deciduous shrub with a shapely form and gracefully arching branches. Its average texture blends into the landscape, but can be balanced by one or two finer or coarser trees or shrubs for an effective composition. This shrub will require occasional maintenance and upkeep, and is best pruned in late winter once the threat of extreme cold has passed. It is a good choice for attracting butterflies and hummingbirds to your yard.
