Boom Chocolatta Cranesbill has masses of beautiful blue cup-shaped flowers with purple overtones and white eyes at the ends of the stems from late spring to late summer, which are most effective when planted in groupings. Its attractive deeply cut lobed palmate leaves remain dark green in color with showy coppery-bronze variegation throughout the season.

Boom Chocolatta Cranesbill is an herbaceous perennial with a mounded form. Its relatively fine texture sets it apart from other garden plants with less refined foliage.

This is a relatively low maintenance plant, and should only be pruned after flowering to avoid removing any of the current season’s flowers. Deer don’t particularly care for this plant and will usually leave it alone in favor of tastier treats. Recommended for use in mass plantings, rock gardens, borders, or as a filler in container plantings.
