Cream False Indigo features long, drooping clusters of creamy yellow-white flowers resembling lupines in spring. Mounded, velvety foliage remains a soft green all season long. In summer, the blooms are replaced by broad, black seed pods with pointed tips, excellent for dried flower arrangements.

It is an herbaceous perennial with a mounded, low-growing habit. Its medium texture blends into the garden, but can always be balanced by a couple of finer or coarser plants for an effective composition. This is a relatively low maintenance plant, and is best cleaned up in early spring before it resumes active growth for the season. It is a good choice for attracting bees and butterflies to your yard.
