DIY Valentines Day Macramé Plant Hanger Workshop 2/12/23 1pm

In this workshop, instructor Meg Newell of Fiber Art by Meg, will lead you as you learn the basics of macramé, you will use pink cord to get in the mood for Valentines Day! You will be able to apply your new skills to create a modern plant hanger that will bring life to your home or office. Once you’ve mastered the knots introduced in this workshop, there is no limit to the masterpieces you can create! PLUS- enjoy 10% off any houseplant here at Ted Lare Garden Center.

No prior experience necessary – beginners are welcome!

In this two-hour workshop, you will:

• Learn how to begin a macramé plant hanger, including an overview of necessary materials.
• Learn how to work 3-4 basic macramé knots.
• Receive a printed guide of knots to take with you following class.
• Learn how to incorporate a wooden ring and wooden beads into your plant hanger design.
• Leave with a finished plant hanger, and the know-how to design and create more pieces on your own.

Class fee includes instruction and all the necessary supplies and materials, including cotton cord, a wooden ring, wooden beads and knot guide hand-out.

(Note: class does not include plant or pot; you can add any pot or plant you like after class, you will approximately need a pot that is 4-6″ across. It’s not necessary to bring a pot to class – however, you can if you’d like!)
