Canary Feathers Corydalis has masses of beautiful spikes of yellow trumpet-shaped flowers rising above the foliage from mid spring to late summer, which are most effective when planted in groupings. The flowers are excellent for cutting. Its ferny compound leaves emerge burgundy in spring, turning bluish-green in color the rest of the year.

It is a dense herbaceous evergreen perennial with a mounded form. It brings an extremely fine and delicate texture to the garden composition and should be used to full effect. This is a relatively low maintenance plant, and should only be pruned after flowering to avoid removing any of the current season’s flowers. Deer don’t particularly care for this plant and will usually leave it alone in favor of tastier treats.
