This hybrid basil variety is a cross between Dark Opal Basil and Camphor Basil. African Blue Basil likes to be kept moist but does need a good draining system. This herb is unable to produce seeds on its own and can only be propagated from cuttings. This basil flavor can be a little overwhelming from the Camphor scent… pairs well in chicken and tomato dishes, also goes great in your favorite soup. Pollinators LOVE this herb! Plant after last spring frost and enjoy all summer long!
